G'day I'm in Australia and I have an 81 seca 650. I'm looking for a set of rear sets for it but am stuck as I have read that frames are different. Can anyone tell me if the Australian frame is the same as US, Euro or UK? Or different all together? I can only find rear sets for euro models. Any help there?

If you have the aluminum plates to mount the passenger pegs, you can use the Loaded Gun rear sets from Dime City Cycles and mount them to the tabs on the frame. Makes for a very nice set up.

And the frames have to be welded together upside down.

And their speedo cable spins backwards like the water in the toilet.

There's a shortcut to all that---just turn the handlebars around.

Either I've got an exception or that link has inaccuracy. My March 1980 XJ650 has engine number 4K1 and under 500. That link says it must be a 1981 if over 101. So you might have to work with is a bit.

Wha' the? The water goes down the toilet backwards here?

I used the DDC universal linkage kit. I drilled the rivet out of the stock shifter linkage and attached the linkage rod to the gear selector and the rear sets. On the brake side I used the brake arm ( the part that attaches to the brake spindle) from an 1982 XJ650 Turbo. Then you cut the linkage arm to fit your needs. Hope this helps. Good luck!

Here are some pictures of the loaded gun set up. Note the orientation of the shifter arm, in this position you keep the standard shift pattern. G'Day & cheers

You also have to trim the side stand for clearance for your foot.
