    You got it K-Moe

They were all factory riders for CZ in the late sixties or early 70's.

I was a CZ rider back in the early 70's as well, for some reason I didn't get a factory sponsorship...ha ha.

Going back to those days, I've been on a months long quest for a CZ motocross bike and finally picked one up from a local collector whom I had befriended. These are tough to find in these parts, and tough to find at a reasonable price anywhere.

Anyways, I was able to find the ultimate weapon of the day, back when CZ was winning all the international championships (other than a factory customized bike). There were those (including myself) who considered the '74 CZ 125 Motocross frame with a '74 CZ 380 engine in it was the hottest set up you could have at the time.

I pulled this off...nearly. This is a '74 CZ 125 (basically complete) and I was able to trade a two furrow plough, cultivator and a 60's console stereo for a '73 CZ 380 motor. I've shelved a few of my other projects for the moment, whilst I meld these together in preparation for the 2016 vintage motocross season.

I've already rebuilt my '80 YZ125 for the post-vintage races (I'll be entering at mid-ohio and Unadilla this year if any of the group planning on visiting). Hopefully I'll have this CZ ready for the open class true vintage "dinosaur" (over 50) class as well.

Loads of work to do...lots of learning too as I struggle with this old Czechoslovakian classic. Parts are readily available, but expensive, so it may take a while to get it up to speed as I trickle my savings into it.

I'm sure I'll be here on the forum looking for support, thanks in advance.

Oh, here is a picture of the 380 motor I'll be planting into it. and a picture of the IMG_1319.JPG

Basically, I hope to make it around the track without hurting myself, and more importantly, not to be too embarrassed :)

Looking forward to some vintage racing this coming summer.

Just registered it this afternoon, always a nervous affair when there is no paperwork with the bike other than a bill of sale.

Fortunately it wasn't stolen, I was able to register it easily (if you'd like to do this in Ontario, I'll post the steps on the DIY forum
CZ1.jpg if I get enough requests).

$29 for the off-road registration, including taxes.
