400 Maxim Carbs

    I've been looking around for some info about the carbs that are on my Maxim. On the side it says Mikuni B253. I can't seem to find anything with Mikuni and B253 referenced together. I'm getting the feeling that I'm looking at the wrong thing. Anyone know the model of Mikuni carbs that are on the 1981 400Maxim or how I can verify beyond a shadow of a doubt what model Mikuni carbs I have? It doesn't seem like there is a plethora of information on these specific bikes.

    Mikuni BS53

    I think you should have BS34 carbs though (maybe 38).....unless you have dyslexia (not joking here).
