    I give up! How wide?
    Seriously the best is 3.25 x 19 or 100/90-19.
    The rims are seriously skinny on the older bikes and anything wider will not hold proper profile and add unsprung weight

    Look at your manual. USE THE RECOMMENDED SIZE. They are recommended for a reason.
