Wanted The Holy Grail of Seca parts

    I am in search of the only thing to make my 82 Seca 750 mint again........the "Yamaha" emblem that covers up the two screws that hold the lower handlebar cluster trim on.......Chacal basically said good luck, so I know I will probably never find. Anyone have any ideas other than scrap yards and ebay (currently checking those requarly)?

    No.....that'sthe fork emblem. The part discussed is the little insert that covers the two small mounting bolts on the handlebar cover.

    This would be it - approximate size 3.75 x .75 inches. It covers the mounting bolts for the triple tree cover, and although you see a bunch of the covers on Ebay, they never seem to have the center piece shown. I have always had to apply a dab of RTV to the one I have to make sure it does not fly away as the clips never seemed to hold well.

    Darn, wish I'd known how rare these were when I began with my SECA. I saw one on the bay several months ago. Should have grabbed it then. Oh well; much more to do before I begin worrying about details like this.
