During: I've only had to mess up one carb hat screw, two airjets, and cutvthe enricher shaft ( which was already missing 1/4 of it anyway.)

Hmmmm.... where DOES one draw the line, anyway?!?! Well, I'm still going, cuz there are no broken float towers, and things still keep coming apart. I think the challenge is actually gonna be to get the pieces of enriched shaft out.

Even the mixture screw caps are still in! And the diaphragms are great :)

That was the 1st thing I was curious about after seeing the hats completely perforated.
The pigeons there are eating something very acidic.

I expected to have holes, or be brittle. The thing that really is amazing is the sheer amount of black goo in the bowls! It is deep enough to have stretched out like taffy between the bowls and the main jets when I pulled the bowls off.

No-- this for a 650rj. These are from another forum member. Based on his description, though, I would imagine the bike is worse than my drowned 650 turbo, though....

Wow it’s going to need a set of fork tubes as well as seat cover and and and ... I would guess that the tank is as bad as carbs are. One the plus side it does have the Power Lock.

And now, Back to our regularly-scheduled broadcast----

As the day ends, and the sun goes down-- we see our carburetor cowboy putting three of the four carbs to bed for the night. They're tired from a good workout. The fourth one is still busy.
    IMG_4722.JPG

    IMG_4723.JPG

The fourth carb still needs to have the emulsion
tube removed, and all four mixture screws still need to be removed. BUT-- the mixture screw plugs are still in... so these have never been molested! They should be pretty easy :)

Starting to look like carbs instead of a turd pretending to be a set of carbs. Those are a candidate for Vapor blasting .

The last piece of the enricher shaft has FINALLY moved a teeny bit. Lots of heat-cycling, tapping, and kroil.....here it's on its way out! All the emulsion tubes are out, all slide needles are good. The only thing to pull yet are the mixture screws after I drill the caps.
