Hi, Edmonton. This is Ontario. Thanks for the Stanley Cup teams from the 80s. Messier, Fuhr, Kurri, Coffey, some Gretsky guy, not bad!

Just trying to re-instate this post, as it's been over a year since the last post. Anyone from southern Alberta or Calgary that is up for a ride one of these weekends in August? I live in Lethbridge. 83' Maxim 750

Hey all, just got an old 1981 XJ 550 running recently. Any dealers in Calgary you'd recommend to get the wheels changed and give it a once over? Is Blackfoot Motorsports the be all that it makes itself out to be?

Once I get new tires and get the bike checked over I'd love to go for a ride.

Don't take a bike to Blackfoot, at least not if you didn't buy it there. They always prioritize work on bikes they sold, and being a busy shop this can be a problem. A coworker brought his 2013 SV650 in there after its ignition switch was damaged in an attempted theft.

It took 4 months to get fixed, with a constant line of excuses. 4 months. For an ignition switch.

I don't have experience with them personally, but I'd assume the Old Motorcycle Shop in often would be your best bet, as their most experienced with... Well.. old motorcycles.

That said, if you're just getting a tire changed. Anywhere will be fine if they say they'll do it right away vs your bike sitting around.

I have a local auto repair shop that is owned by a neighbor and he lets me use his tire machine. A bottle of white wine every month or so for his wife seems to do the trick.

Hello guys. Reg here I'm in Calgary , purchased a 1984 Yamaha XJ750RL yesterday from a guy from Medicine Hat! Very mint original condition! Any other RL's or similar in Calgary, if so PM me would like to meet up for a coffee. I have two bikes in Calgary now, my other one is a 1984 Suzuki GS550l. I have a number of other bikes at my Cabin in Sask as well. bye for now.
