I have it on good authority that the gosh-awful faring is really comfortable to ride behind.

I’ll call on the quad cities one in the morning. Man. That other one tho is the same ad I called about last year. Seems like word for word. Idk. Anything is possible. Could’ve broke his leg twice now. Jk

Well. I emailed the guy about the black maxim parts bike. We will see what he says and there may be more parts available then for you all

    Joe,
I thought you might like the one that is closer to you, even though it is really in ruff shape.

Yeah. I grew up in the same area. I’ll probably have another parts bike later today for everyone as it’s not titled and hasn’t ran he said in 15 years or even moved

This bike also has a great forum I think he means form

I was obsessed with maintaining it. Weekly oil changes, constantly tuning, etc... because he never got the carbs right

Of course, this is an as is bike and take all this info as you would any info you read from a stranger on craigslist.
= every thing I said was misinformation

I was afraid to poke fun... for fear it was one of us here!

Not sure I'd attempt to cross the country on that thing (as he was planning)... at least in its current state.

If I had more time and money I'd be on it. Wouldn't look forward to the valve clearance but do it right once and it should be good for a long time. Maybe you should pick it up and flip it @Timbox you have some X-perience

Ya I know I should, need to make some room. I think my BMW will be up for sale and make some room. I like to work on the X but sitting in it just feels different for me. But for that price...maybe talk them down a little. Paper work is $100 to around $180 for new title and running around in WI. I hope someone picks it up before I sell the BMW.
