I need a xj650 or xj750 4 to 1 exhaust in good condition with no dents. I have a 1982 xj650 maxim and looking to replace the original exhaust

That pic reminds me of some Craiglist ads, "ran when parked" and "easy project."

Check out Marving Exhaust. I just ordered a 4-into-1 for my XJ750 yesterday. They build to order, so it takes a couple weeks to get your pipes from them. Also, they are in Italy

If you order from them, when you're checking out, and you need to select your country, the U.S. is listed as Stati Uniti. That took me a second to figure out. My pipes shipped to Alaska were about $480. That's headers to muffler.

Do keep us posted and start a new thread on that. I seriously considered their exhaust when I restored my 650 Maxim but found a good donor. I need to restore it again and another member bought a Marving but it didn’t fit, would love the feedback.

Will do. As of November 13,2021 I still haven't received it. I'm not in a rush... hard to ride in the Alaskan winters anyway. :)

I got the exhaust. It looks pretty solidly built, but there are no collector baffles. It's a 4 into 1 straight pipe set up. It does come with a Fiberglass wrapped, bolt in muffler insert (dB killer). I ordered the one-piece unit, because it was a bit cheaper, but they sent the two-piece unit. Probably saved a bit on freight.

It will be a couple months before I get to mount it, because the engine is out right now, and the bike is in pieces so I can get the frame and other bits off to powder coating. I'll keep you posted on fitment, tuning, and sound.

I'm curious how I'll have to tune the carbs for this set up. Maybe pod filters and a stage three kit. (Let the games begin)

I'll likely paint this lovely chrome black and wrap them too. (Crime of the century, I know)

You spent $480 on custom chrome Italian made exhaust system, that you’re going to paint black and wrap?

then fit the bike with pods?

I’ll gladly trade you an already painted black and wrapped 4-1 system
