    HELLO FROM KANSAS CITY!

    Buying an 81 xj 650 to bob out tomorrow! so i have been reading your threads and just now decided to join!

    Hopefully more info on the bike tomorrow, Its running, 81 35xxx miles on it, he got it in a trade, small scratches on the side of the motors, tank has almost no rust in it, but a bit i can see.has a rought start up during the cold he says, he already put pod filters on it, but i dont think he jetted the carbs (do you have to afterward?) the spedo on it is off, he knows it and said the faster you go the more innacurate it gets, those are the only problems i know about it. he rides it daily to and from work so its running, i have ridden it a bit. and im getting it for 700$

    Any suggestions on that speedo and tank would be great. Other wise thanks for checkin this one out

    Lots of aftermarket speedos available, do a search and you will be blown away.

    I grew up in Warrensburg and have relatives in Grain Valley and Lake Lotawana. Lots of good riding country once you get out of the city limits. Just watch out for the crazy drivers and have fun. Be sure to post plenty of pics of your ride.
