Anyone in PEI??

Me and the XJ Cafe are going to be in PEI for a little bit of July, most of August... Would love to hook up for a good ride somewhere (which I'm sure means somewhere OFF of PEI).

I hear NB and NS have some real nice roads and I'd be willing to travel.

Hit me up for a ride sometime.

Weather here lately doesn't really lend itself to riding.

weather on wednesday and thursday supposed to be good for riding, but with the wet weather i guess i will have to spend my time working on the bike. where are you staying while you are on the island ease?

 

ease, there is a group of guys that ride all the time here, we usually meet up at a tim's and you can get all the info you need then, they usually do something every weekend..

 

Tim's? Which one?!?

I might be over next weekend... won't be on a 'J though.

 

I'm in Charlottetown too. Actually just over the bridge in Stratford.

I'd be up for a weekend ride for sure. Not this weekend though, I'm heading out on another vacation, lol. Going to see my brother in Scotland.

Leaving thursday morning at 6AM, and I might be heading in to Halifax on wednesday, so I'm booked for a bit... I'm probably going to go for a little spin today as far as brackley beach for something to do... Even with the weather.

But yeah, It'd be great to meet up for a ride. It's boring as all hell here for me. hah.

yes,this is anne of green gables country, big big tourist attraction. how was the ride today ease, we had a few nice periods there, anyways i will be checking the site, send a message when you return.. and the 2 tim's that i have seen the most gatherings are university avenue and st peters road, thats the one just up the street from me..lol

 

The ride was allright.
It was a little cold by the water and the waves were pretty strong... also I took a run up a dead end and I was wishing I wore a kidney belt.

This trip has been hell on my bike (the whole trip I mean, not today). Starting to get a little rough around the edges.



Did I see your XJ today by chance parked in the smooth cycles parking lot?? Green with a big dot on either side of the tank??



Oh.. Let me add this one. I had to drop off a cellphone to Dalvay by the beach (to the lady friend, a chef there) and I parked next to this sweet scooter, lol, had to get a picture...

 

right on ease, nice pics there, and no it wasn't my xj you saw, mine is not yet complete, i bought it a week ago, right now i am riding a kawasaki ltd 440 that i just restored a couple of months ago, and i am actually working on a 1975 honda cb400 four for my neighbor..but will have to take time to ride today tho..

 

I'm back on the island now.

I'll be heading out for a ride in a few, just heading into the Downtown CIBC then go try and get lost / find my way back.

If anyone wants to go for spin let me know.

Hey man, yeah the trip was great... Aberdeen, Edinbourgh and Glasgow. Completely ran out of money halfway through.

On to yesterday's ride... Can't remember where I ended up, somewhere about 30 mins outside "the boardwalk" tourist trap (stopped there for a sub).

Here was the turn around point:

 

right on ease, i bet you wish you could bring that day back today, nasty bike weather, i thought it was going to clear up there around 7 pm, but no such luck..

I kept hearing that the weather was better here and so far I've been here 3 weeks and 2 of them have been absolutely horrible weather wise...
Hard to believe I could miss the weather back home, haha.

 

lol, so true, but i hear the weather on the rock isn't much better,but oh well, what do ya do. by the way, awsome job on the seca ease, can't wait to see in up close, maybe it will give me some ideas for my 1100

it's saturday afternoon, have a little work to do here in the garage, and riding tonite so ease if you are out and about i live on falconwood rd #12 that is just across the bridge a,d off of kensington rd..drop by..

actually workin on 2 bikes, sadly neither of them is my xj..lol, i am working on my wifes 200 twinstar, and my neighbors 1975 honda cb400 four cafe racer, paint on both..lol. my wife kinda wants her bike ready for this evening, they are having a light up your boat thing at the marina, and she wants to go down on the bikes..

almost, twinstar is back together, the cb is back together, but had a fuel leak in the tank, have it fixed, just waiting for the stuff to cure so we can put gas in it..then we are going for a cruise to see if the twinstar is going to be ok..

 

I'm back on the rock now.

It was nice meeting you Glenn, even if half the ride was waiting with the broken down CB... Haha.

 

lol, yeah that was a bummer, but maybe next time we can hook up for a cruise on the rock, thinking about maybe taking the bikes on vacation to the rock next summer..of course it will be the xj.lol

 

Yeah for sure. If I'm here I'm always down for a scoot.
