    JUST THOUGHT I'D INTRODUCE MYSELF. MY NAME IS GREG, FROM MANTECA CA. I'VE GOT 2 BIKES AN 01 INDIAN SCOUT AND MY 82 650 SECA. THERE BOTH ONGOING PROJECTS BUT RECENTLY I'VE DECIDED TO PUT SOME EFFORT INTO MY SECA. RIGHT NOW I'M REPLACING THE BATTERY AND IGNITION SWITCH (I LOST THE KEYES). ANYWAYS NOT TO SURE WHAT I WANT TO DO WITH THE SECA....CAFE RACER OR WHAT BUT I'M SURE YOU'LL BE HEARING PLENTY FROM ME. THANKS FOR THE HELP.

    NOT AWARE OF THE HIGHWAY PATROL RIDING INDIANS THESE DAYS. IT'S AN 2001 CAME FROM THE PLANT IN GILROY CALIFORNIA . WHEN THEY TRIED TO RESURECT THE COMPANY. ITS GOT 88" EVO IN A SOFTAIL FRAME.

    Greg if you haven't already changed your ignition switch I just had to remove mine and took it to a locksmith who read the numbers on the switch and cut me 2 keys for less than $25. Worth a shot. Not all locksmiths can do it per ignition code but the established one should.

    I HAVE ALREADY CHANGED THE IGNITION SWITCH. BUT I DO NEED ONE FOR THE TANK. I WAS PLANNING ON GOING TO A LOCKSMITH FOR THAT. UNLESS ANYONE KNOWS HOW TO REMOVE THE GAS CAP (ALREADY LOCKED) THANKS THOUGH

    If you still have the old ignition switch use that to get a key made for it and if the bike was stock the key will fit the gas cap and helmet lock.
    p.s. turn off your keyboard cap lock!

    Sorry at work so it was on cap lock. Anyways no i dont have the original key....Long story tried to sell it, had to repo it back. So Im in the process of getting everytyhing back in order. It ran when I sold it. But all this happened a little more than a year ago and its been sitting in the garage ever since. Got a new ignition switch and should have a battery tuesday. Whith any luck I'll be good to go(ready to start project without any trouble shooting) Sorry wizard I dont have a digital camera to upload photos.

    209, welcome to the fold! I'm an Orangevale boy myself (east side of Sac, bordering Folsom). You can pick your gas cap yourself but it takes a long time (last one I picked took 30 min). Locksmith wouldn't be a bad idea but you really ought to get the gas and ignition locks keyed the same so you might just as well take the whole machine or all of the locks in at the same time.
