anyone ever welded chain?

    I was pondering making a sissy bar or something along those lines and the indian larry bike chain of mystery popped into my head. Has anyone ever welded chain like that before?

    yep, tried it once with my mig, it's not to hard to do but a tig will give you a lot cleaner weld

    somebody on this forum made a sissy bar and lined a fender with motorcycle chain. It looked freakin awesome and if i remember correctly they said it wasnt that bad to do as long as your got most of the grease off

    ive made a mic stand from chain before. it welds pretty easy, but it will try to warp on you. and beware it holds heat a long time
