speedometer cable question

    I have a 1995 xj650 seca II, my spedometer cable came loose from under the ferring and i can't align it with the threads to screw it back in. should i just keep trying or do i need to take apart the ferring? any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. thanks

    if u can do it with the fairing on do it!

    if u can't, is it too hard to take off?

    Welcome! You may find that you need to rotate the front wheel assembly to get the internal cable to line up. The cable should be a square assembly so you shouldn't need to turn the front wheel far. Best of luck!

    im having a problem installing a new spedo cable, the end of the old one broke off and is still inside the hub.
    Any ideas on how to remove that little bit left inside? to small of an opening for needle nose, too wedged in for a magnet?

    neewbie here, any help is appreciated ;)

    can you get one of those small electricians screwdrivers in there to try and pry it out?
