I would like to convert the drum brake system on my xs400 to a one disk or two disk brake system. How would I do this, has it been done, and what do I need. I do know when it comes to a conversion like this I will need an entire front end of a different bike. The trees, the forks, the axle, the Speedo drive unit, etc..... So the first thing I will worry about the rest latter.

What front end will I need to get to make this happen???

Yea the bike would look really weird with one wheel being spooked and the other being forged. But right here first I am going off of safety. I just would put more trust in a disk system then a drum system. Because I plan to have this bike as my daily driver. How is my logic wizard? :D
