Don't even need the link. The reason is simple: In our society today, anytime there is ANY SORT of tragedy that a lawyer thinks can be turned into a big out-of-court settlement by the manufacturer of whatever toy someone screwed themselves up on, they will. And they will sue everyone in sight, hoping for a settlement wherever they can get one. Why? Because 99% of the time IT WORKS.

yeah, read on "there are no laws regulating crotch rockets" and how these motorcycles can go from "125 to 140 miles per hour" sounds like the rumbliings of someone who would like to see our favorite toys regulated...the article seems to gloss over how this kid was rocketing down a residential street, and wasn't looking IN FRONT of himself when suddenly going such jaw-dropping speed...

lol, well that and the fact that the 3-wheelers that were popular (at least around here) up to the late 80s / early 90s would roll over if you farted hard. haha.

You know, this was a tragic story. But never did she mention how her son was the one being careless. She was too busy pointing the finger at the gov't and the motorcycle industry. What about her son... who didn't have the indorsement on his d.l. or who was flying down the street. Like a said... TRAGIC!
