My downpipes are pitted and looks as if the bike ran over something ( dents in the bottom curve. Having trouble finding some good used ones, so I thought about having some made. My uncle owns a shop an his specialty is custom fab exhaust. An example on how good he is; he bent up a set of mack truck exhaust stacks to fit under my old '69 chevy I had when I was a teen. My question is the lip that seals up to the engine. Are those removeable? If not where can I get a set and how do they stay on? Also, How important is the collector? If I do decide to get him to built it, I am going to send him the old one as a guide.
