Not so much mods but an overdone "restification." Those are OIL LINES, they were originally much smaller in diameter, more tightly routed and (I believe) nickel plated and therefore much less noticeable. Notice how they appear to run to the fuel tank--the oil tank was in one side of the "gas" tank. The gauge is an oil pressure gauge. Foot clutch, hand shift. Odd-appearing clutch setup was referred to as a "mousetrap" back in the day, knob is the shifter. Exposed clutch is cute but a bitch if you trap a piece of gravel. Nice old bike, it's too bad he didn't go just a bit further and get it even closer to original. I think the copper piping looks out of place, overdone.

It could be a new S&S Knuckle head. Looks too clean. I think that's an oil pressure guage.

Yea Fitz I thought the same thing - overdone. With the spiral gas line the whole thing looks more like a still than a bike.

My thoughts exactly, I've seen the copper lines done tastefully before, but this is way over the top!

I like the copper tubing. There is alot of it, but I don't think it's overdone. I think the guy wanted it to look like there was alot going on. I'd ride it, but I like harleys anyway, I just don't like the fact that they are way overpriced.

It looks like hardware store copper tubing to me. All other considerations aside, I would worry about it fracturing from vibration especially on a Harley.

Ouch that looks ugly. Good point Fitz that stuff does not take vibration well.
