looking over craigslist, i found a nice deal on a 750, needs very little to run, and then i look on ebay for cb 750's and they're 5-7k!!! and theres lots of people bidding on them, what the heck? the one im looking at has 32K miles, alot mroe than the ones going for alot, but sheesh, if i get it i wonder if its worth turning into a bobber.. just wondering if anyone can tell me why they're going for so much? just look up cb 750, and they're going for alot..

These bikes are in demand and are a great chop project. Parts are getting too hard too find for them.

People are buying them up for parts and projects. I for one am looking for one too.

These bikes are a great piece of history when the first chopper was made you might think in the lines of harley but no, all the great builders started out chopping metrics and you guessed it the cb750 and xs650 were prime canidates for choppin.

If you get one let me know and ill direct you to some great info on building these pristine creatures.

Good luck on finding one although I hope I find one first.

The motor alone from one of these beast go for 500 bucks if they are in good condition.

    Good luck

Im from kansas! 350 is good price i would do a compression test. smell the oil, see if the motor turns over.

If it can be started its a steal @ 350.00. Man these bikes make beautiful chop projects and when they are tuned right they are beastial.

Im getting excited just talking about it.
The big thing, is the motor good if so man jump on it.

The Honda 750s are considered classics, collectors are also after them.
I have heard 72-76 all original mint condition bringing in over $6K
also the DOHC F series from 79-82 are bringing in big bucks on ebay.

The CB750F's, CB900F's and CB1100F's are all fetching a good sum, but the CBX's get even pricier!

true that, i heard online they have valve issues and timing chains shouldbe replaced yearly or something, im just not into dirtbikes, quads and roadbikes are my forte, but gosh, this is going to be a pain convincing my parents to let me get this so i have have 3 motorcycles, a 3 wheeler, and umm a truck and a car, most of them are junk, but oh well

    Russ Collin's 3 motor monster......

When I was young and had to run to the old gas station to get gas for my MR50 there was always this guy behind the the station buzzing up and down the alley on a light blue CB750 sporting what was either a Russ Collins or early Kerker header. The sound that the CB750 produced was one of the most wicked things my 10 year old ears have ever heard!

If I had the money I would buy one and well you know the rest........
