no electrical power at all

    oh i have searched this forum to find what i need and no luck

    i have a bad fuse block, i know i need one. i have a parts bike so, i have one already. today i finely got everything wired, and no power to anything. i jumped the fuse block and the starter relay, i have power to the tail lights and i can here the solenoid click, but there is no power to the front gages nothing at all i can turn on and off the key and the tail lights turn on and off i can push the starter button in but its not turning over the starter im at a loss right now

    head light relay... check it

    gives light to the gauges and headlight

    maybe the starter solenoid is dead/ not connecting right?

    skip the solenoid with a set of jumper on the starter if the solenoid is gone she will spool up and possibly start the bike (make sure the bike is out of gear!)

    head/ gauge lights come on once the engine is running

    Hi Steve, you replaced the old fuse box with another old one, is that right?

    no not yet it needs to be replaced but i have jumped over the fuses i have another one also

    also there is not neutral lights no gauge lights come on because the engine is not running i know that part but i should see some light come on when you turn the key

    Well, that depends on whether Turtleman is right about the headlight relay on your Radian. On my SECA 750 the headlight relay only provides power to the headlight; the gauges get power immediately when the ignition is turned on, but the headlight relay doesn't engage until the engine is running.

    I don't know what your fuse box looks like, and I don't know whether you have a multimeter, but a meter would be useful in seeing where in the harness you do and don't have 12V. On the SECAs, the fuse clips for the glass fuses get oxidized and don't make good contact. Jumpering them, especially the 30A main, might still not work, since the oxidation on the clips doesn't make good contact with anything, including alligator clips.

    If you've cut all the wires, stripped them, and then jumpered the ends together, that will eliminate the fuse box as the issue; otherwise, I'm not convinced it's not the root problem.

    Other top pick for the culprit would be the ignition switch itself. Again, a meter will make that a lot easier to figure out.

    Just a friendly warning. You really should have some kind of fuses in place. If something were to short to ground your harness will go up in flames. Be careful and good luck

    I have to second that. Jumping around them to test is one thing but I wouldn't run any length of time with a jumped fuse box. Besides the fire danger there is a possibility of doing serious and expensive damage to other components. Please be careful...

    i found out the issues today and it only cost my 28 bucks first issue no power en less i routed the power past the fuses so i bought 4 inline fuse mini ATO holder with 12 gauge wiring 4 mini 10amp ATO fuses a project box from radioshaq and a box of 10 buttend wire holder thingy i have no name in mind a little blood and boom the thing turns over like nothing and all my lights that i can test with are on this bike is coming together
