neck bearings

    I have a1980 xj650 I would like to put caged bearings in the neck can this be done

    Longbeard,
    Hit the search link in the Main Menu (to the left of the screen) and look up head bearings. There have been quite a few posts on this issue with some great results. Check in with Chacal for the latest on good bearings for this purpose.

    You can Also buy fresh ball bearing replacement from your Yama dealer. Balls and Tapereds work.. Exactly.. the same with the bonus that the oem ball races replacements seat perfectly. Which if no one has told you.. the Taperds do not.
