Hey all I"m slo_poke1. I'm from Beebe, AR. Married to Loretta. Just purchased a 82 XJ650 for her first bike. I ride a '04 sportster myself so please dont hold that against me. The bike needs a few thinks like fork seals and some carb work. I want to tackle myself.I am a paint and body guy so maybe I can offer assistance in those areas to anyone that might need.We look forward to chatting and learning about these bikes. Will post pics asap.

    Welcome

Read the FAQ suggestion section for tips and instructions.
RickCo and Gamuru have written wonderful instructions for cleaning and synching carbs.

welcome to the site slo_poke1! If there is anything you need to know about your newly aquired bike this is the place for any and all ?'s! I sent you a pm about something you had mentioned on this post. Good luck and keep us posted. By the way schooter I think your paint job looks good for not having a clear coat on it (nice seat).

Thanks for the welcome everyone. Hey Schooter, nice paint dude! keep it up. Everyone has to start somewhere and practice makes perfect. If it doesnt look like what you want, thats what they make sandpaper for.
