Tapered roller bearings for the steering head

    Does anyone know the part numbers to replace the steering head bearings with tapered roller bearings?

    if you get the kit from partsnmore it should have everything you need.

    If your local dealer had the catalogues with the "All Balls" kits, the one your looking for is part # SSY500.
    It's worth about $45 up here in Canada

    The ones I got were the above mentioned "All Balls" brand. They have them at www.denniskirk.com, and vendors on e-bay are always selling them.

    Yes, the tapered bearings will not fit the old races so they have to be changed.

    Having changedtmy races to al balls No complaints. However in retropespect/hindsight occurs that besides it being 'trendy' why change from the OEM type at all? OEM's are Cheap, and readily available from the local Yama dealer and.. in truth.. last at least 20 years if greased infrequently.
