Buying experience from other members

Anyone have had any good/bad experience buying parts from other members on this forum?

 

I have had no problems with 10+ transactions. Mind you they have been with established members (at least 6 months of presence) and I use PayPal. Chacal is a gimme.

 

It pays to be careful.

I've had a few transactions that were wonderful. I had a guy that was a long time member purchased a seat from me. Check never came and he quit coming to the forum.

As Robert said - Chacal is a business and has a reputation to look out for. He's 100% reliable and ships unbelievably fast.

 

Our own Rick-O-Matic got bit by a member on a set of carbs. Fella had been a regular and then stopped communicating once the carbs were sent. Rick is out the money and the carbs. Buyer beware.

 

This information is great keep them coming

 

I think most are straight shooters when it comes to used parts. I keep an eye out for new comers however.

 

Probably the same guy that got me for a seat. Maybe he got a whole bike for free.. :cry:

 

I've gotton more than my moneys worth out of all of my transactions with Chacal (thanks again buddy) and I have also had several good transactions with individuals here as well. Paypal is always safest for both parties when possible.

 

I've had no bad experiences here and I feel everyone I sold to was happy as well. Get and give accurate descriptions of what you are buying/selling and the more pics the better. I can also reference my ebay profile for my validity. It is over 200 with no negatives. Let's keep this a honest and valuable forum!!!

 

I have bought from 2 different members here.
Both transactions were great, both were through paypal.

I sent a tail section to a member, he kept stalling via e-mail about how he lost my address, would pay for i as soon as he got his check etc. and the just disappeared.

 

ive had good exp buying used parts like a seat and handle bars. although pay pal is safe i used a money order for my transactions. pics are always good to see, but the people are users of the forum a lot

 

I've purchased twice from Chacal and I am 100% satisfied. I'd love to browse thru Len's warehouse someday. Must be quite a vault!

 

Between Chacal and a couple of other members, I've never had a slightest problem with transactions on this forum.

It never hurts to be careful, but we're all here to help each other out, as well as get help when we need it. As far as dishonest members go... Well, they have to live with themselves... And there's always that saying - "Karma is a b*tch"

Actually, I've only sold things to other members, and haven't f*ed anybody...yet. Kidding aside, all transactions went smoothly but then again they were always folks I had become familiar with through the site. In today's world you have to be careful but I would say you're probably not gonna have an issue with a long time member. If you do we'll have them tarred, feathered, castrated, killed and eaten.

Wanted to buy a tank from a fellow member after price was given, the seller changed his mind, wanted a higher price.

 

got a total steal on some sportster mufflers, very fast shipping and packaging, got some free stuff too, and given away some free stuff, well sorta

 

I have bought and sold several things on the forum with no issues. I just try to be fair and ship as quick as I can. I think most of the folks are honest but you always need to be careful.

 

I can vouch for Chacal (like he needs it) and Bigfitz (all around great guy).

I'm saving up my money now so if anything ever happens to Rick, I can buy his head, have it surgically attached next to mine and have him look over my shoulder when I do anything
