Sales of XJ bikes in my area seem to have dried up! I recall when you could always find several maxims on sale on craigslist every day. What gives? You'd think with the economy as it is, people would be parting with stuff they don't use.

I know this forum is full of people who would just as soon lose an arm as their XJ but in the past the "general public" (at least in my area) turned over a lot of XJ's.

    ??????????

What's it like in your area?

I seen about 4 or 5 in the last week

People are not selling because they could be saving gas money by riding them instead of cars.

If I were selling I'd wait 2 months so I could get a good price.

This was what come up on local Craig's list.

    http://portland.craigslist.org/search/m ... maxAsk=max

That Seca wasn't on there last time I checked, it's pretty nice. The rest of them aren't as good as my bike, that I got off craig's for $950. Except maybe that 550 in Lake Oswego, but that's just too small, IMHO

All those are good reasons...except when I do a search, for example, on "Honda Shadow" a huge list pops up for a wide range of years. Same with Magnas. Lots of Kawasaki's too - older Vulcans, etc. But not XJ's. People are hanging on to the XJ's.

Just maybe the old xjs are dying or dead, that could be the reason we are not seeing them for sale.
