    Hello all,
I'm joining for me and on behalf of my girl, who owns a sweet '85 FJ600. I can't find ANY forums for the FJ and figured you guys are the next of kin, so to speak.
I also own a few old Yammies; XS650s in my case. I love the old XS's. They're cheap, plentiful and easy to work on. Her FJ is a whole 'nother animal to me, though. I'm having some carb/hard starting problems but wanted to do an intro first.
I'm also into the old aircooled VW's. Following are some pics of our bikes and, if you'd like, some of the VW's as well.

Here's her FJ. it was a one owner bike when I found it for her, complete with owners manuals and service receipts. It has matching Yamaha saddle bags and a complete service history. It had been suffering from sitting bike syndrome, but we got it running about two years ago. VERY nice bike and stupid fast (compared to my XS's, anyway).

Here's a before and after of my '80 cafe' racer. I found it for $100, complete with a spare engine and good title. It took me two weekends to make it run and about 5 months to finish it.

And my latest project. Another Craigslist find, I'm building a BratStyle bike out of it. A before and an "in progress". It's just about time for paint.

www.xs650garageusa.com check it out it's like this but for xs 650's
i just sold my xs for $750 with a spare engine.
it was still a project bike with a bad rotor though. if i found another for $100 i'd buy it in a heartbeat. but they don't sell cheap around here. although this xj is spoiling me without all the vibration that old xs had.

    Hey Scott,

ACVW guy here too. One '74 Beetle and one '74 Thing.

Your girl's bike is NICE. I love seeing the evolutionary path of these bikes from your old 650, to my '82 750 to her '85 600. The change in shape is subtle, and you can see how sportbikes eventually arrived at "fetal position" riding.

Your cafe racer definitey looks better than the stock ride. Great job!

Thanks for the welcome, guys (and gals?). I'm aware of the XS650 Garage and I'm a member there and a couple more XS sites, too.
Here are some fresh pics of the FJ after awakening her from her Winter slumber.

I believe it is customary when first visiting this site, that you offer a gift to the members already here. May I suggest that you give me your FJ600.
