I have an 82 XJ1100 and am looking to replace the exhaust with something new. I currently have the 4-1 design and want to go with the duel pipes 2-1 2-1.

    Are all XJ headers interchangeable???????

I don't know if they're all the same, but if they are, I might be interested in trading with you nickr, if you're interested. I have the 81 xj750 stock 4 into 2, complete with megaphones.

Nickr....the answer is "probably not", but you're going to have a hard time finding anyone who will give you a definite "yes" or "no", since it's doubtful that anyone has every performed (or tried to perform) such a swap. But it's doubtful, the headpipes are all pretty unique for each model bike, the fit the curvature of the stock frame and that curvature determines where (how far up or down, and at what angle) the collectors and thus, how the rest of the exhaust system is configured and aligned. Any major change at that headpipe-to-collector input interface will throw things way off, the further back you go on the bike, to the point where the muffler brackets will be mis-aligned, etc.

    No, they aren't.
Pretty much you gotta stick to the model/displacement class; for instance, the 550 Seca and Max are interchangeable (head pipes and collector for sure, muffies maybe) but 650 or 750 parts won't fit. Likewise the 750's, I believe the headpipes and collector are the same Seca/Max but NOT common to the 650's. For the 650, I'm not even sure if the Seca and Max components are interchangeable. I think the XJ1100 is it's own animal, although the head pipes carry the same part number as the XS1100.

    Thanks for the info guys.

Well I guess I can't trade but if anyone is interested in SUPERTRAPP can itself, I’m sure that you will be able to fit it on your application.

The end that connects to the collector measures 2 1/2 OD

Your collector will need to measure 2 7/16 OD
