Switching Petcocks

    Hey does anybody know if the petcock from a 650 maxim will fi n the tank from a 750, I know the part #'s are different, but are they still compatable??

    Max to Max or Seca to Seca? I have a 650 Max and a 750 Seca and there is no swapping them. Internals are usable though.

    Max To Max, I have a 650 and access to a 750 max with no petcock or tank cap, but i know for sure the tank cap will fit (same part #'s)

    I put a petcock from an '83 650 Maxim tank into a 750 Maxim tank, I think '82. It fits. The length is different; one is shorter than the other, but it didn't seem to affect anything. Maybe I have to switch over to reserve at a different point.
