About a year ago, I got a taillight off a CBR600RR from my friend. The casing was broken, so he bought a new one, as this one could not be fixed. But I saw it and realized I could put it to good use, as the CBR uses an LED bank inside the casing. So today I finally got around to doing this.

A flatblade screwdriver, some heat(heatgun), and some patience...

I love it. That's what hackin' and choppin' is about!
A strobe would really set that off and get you noticed!

BTW: we're going to have to talk about those empty ice chests ;)

Nice little mod there, looks good :D

I'm tempted to get a seca rear fairing and do what I can to make it fit on my Maxim....lots of cutting I'd wager.

I actually bought a Seca tail for mine, and it's nowhere close to matching up with the original seat, so I bought a Seca seat, and it's nowhere close to matching up with the Maxim tank. So, with a Seca tank, seat, and fairing, it'd still take some custom brackets, because all the mounts for the seat and tail fairing are different. The plan as of now is to bring the Seca tail in closer to the front of the bike, use a Seca tank, and make a custom Solo seat out of the Seca seat. It'll be a while before I tackle that project though, maybe I should actually get the bike RUNNING first. 8O

eghad! Thats a bit more work then I'd anticipated.

I was able to get the measurements of that tail piece and after measuring my bike I realized it wasn't going to happen. I'll stick with my fiberglass idea. I'm going material shopping next week :D
