I Need some help

I know i dont have an Xj anymore But the RADIAN YX600
is pretty much the same but with out the YICS

OK for starters it runs and pulls hard every thing on the bike is stock even the 4 into 2 exhaust

this is what i have done

new float needles
new gaskets
carb sync
tones and tones of carb cleaning the queen Mary would eat off these things if it did not have the smell of gas
i replaced the carb piston diaphragms
i did not over service the air filter
ive adjusted the polite screws the gearing is correct the cluch plates are new new throttle cable
new clutch cable new choke cable

but my problem is this is a 130MPH bike stock
but i have to WOT to get to 82.3MPH and then i start to loose RPMS and it feels like it wants to bog

ive checked the fuel levels after i did a float adjustment
the floats are good
the main jet is 97.5
there is no fuel restriction at all it has a good sealed gas cap

im not trying to to race this bike or anything i just want the power if i need to get out of the way of something

should i get a dyna jet kit to stage 1 or 3 there is something wrong
i just dont know could it be the TCI

And Robert the Past owner said it had a good compression

i checked the valve clearances and there in speck

 

sounds like the bike is not getting enough air in the mixture.
or not atomizing well
After running the bike WOT, I would suggest a WOT plug chop.
overly rich main circut could cause your symptoms.

 

Steve, now that you have run it through some heat/cooling cycles, I'd be very curious to know what your compression looks like now. Something else to do next time you drop by.

You need to do a plug chop check and see what is going on in the cylinders. From the sounds of it you are WAY too rich. What does the drop idle test tell you? Snap the throttle open after it is warmed up and note what happens to the rpms as the throttle closes and the engine winds down. Does it respond crisply, returning to a smooth idle quickly? Or does it wander down to idle, rather slowly, possibly stumbling upon throttle twist? If you are experiencing the latter, you are too rich for sure.

 

Sounds like a good way to avoid a speeding ticket to me.

 

ah ha but 3 of the 4 plugs are a good tan color and the 4th one is a little sooty black from being to rich

 

Gas getting into yer oil? bad petcock?
