My new project seems to be missing the lid to the air box! I've pulled up a picture of what is supposed to be it on Bike Bandit.Looks like a top and a duct of some sort.Anybody got one of these lids,or steer me in direction to purchase one?thanks :?

check in with chacal, if he doesnt have it you can fabricate one using wire mesh (metal window screen or gutter screen) and a fiberglass kit. make your mesh fit first if you go that route.

Thanks for replies. So this lid is solid? I haven't seen one yet. It looks like the lid would hold the filter in place.Am I right?

Yup. There's a tab on the filter that fits into a slot on the lid. This keeps the filter firmly in place.

on my lid there is an oval opening near the rear of the lid approx 3" X 1" in that hole a rubber intake tube goes in ( not sure you really need it)
