I would have a shop remove it for you, just to avoid any unpleasant surprises.
I'll also confess that I have never had to do this on a bike (I'm blessed, what can I say). Done a few on VWs but that is a different story.
That said, you could use the reverse twist drill bits (I wouldn't go above a 3/16), heavy doses of Kroil, a little localized heat and you should nail it.

good advise from robert. sometimes if there is still a lot poking out you can weld a nut to the stud and with heat try to remove it.

My favorite way to extract things like that are as follows:
Drill a hole in the stuck thing, drive a square bit into it with a hammer, and then spin out the bolt with a drill connected to the bit.

I usually try to get as much penetrating lube into the thing as i can too.

Kroil, Kroil, Kroil!!! Geez, you'd think I invessted in them the way I hawk this stuff. Soak it down in Kroil (sounds like the aerosol is the best application here), let it sit for a day, use a center punch to put a divot in the center of the broken bolt, drill a hole in the bolt center and use an easy out likie alaskazzr recommended. Should come right out.
