While IM repairing the starter chain guide I was wondering if anyone knows if you can change the gearing to get more out of this bike. On the highway I like to cruise at 70-80 mph and it is a starin on the motor, unlike chain driven bikes you can change spokets, does anyone know if there is a gear replacement for 5th gear to make it an overdrive , doesnt look like you can add a 6th gear, maybe ya can???? I dont know

It's not a strain on the motor; I cruise at 70-80 all the time with my 550s. You just aren't used to having a motor pulling those revs at highway speeds. It's ok with it, honest.

I'm still looking for another gear half the time as well LOL. But There's still lots of Get up and Move out the FREAK"N way when it's up there =)

Even the 550 has plenty of "roll-on" power on the freeway without gearing down. That's because it's running right in the "fat" part of the powerband.
