I was cleaning out my grand dads attic the other day when I stumbled upon an old video game controller. It has 138 "buttons" on it (23x6) and you can use up to 6 buttons at a time. There was fine print in the instructions about using your picking hand to add more possible notes but I didn't try it yet. Does this work with wii or xbox because I could not figure out how to interface with it. I also found a big box of what look like speakers next to it. It had Marshall on the front. I got sounds out of it but was wondering where the video screen was so I could see the colored dots sliding down the strings. Any help/advice greatly appreciated.

Its motorcycle related. The bass players gs500 is 3 feet in front of my left foot when I'm facing the camera. I would have put my Maxim in the shot but I couldn't haul the guitar, amp, and my crappy drums with it so I left the bike at home. The song is Stevie Ray Vaughan's "Scuttle Buttin'". We were feeling good and played it a little fast.

So where's the picture of this guitar game controller thingamabobber?

You've got the instructions, you should be able to google for info on it; somehow, though, I get the idea you're going to have trouble interfacing it with console systems that didn't exist when it was built.

That's the 1967 Gibson Flying V. Seems like everywhere I go, everyone has that game and asks me if I can play it. I can't play the guitar hero game to save my life. Nobody can tell when I'm kidding around.

    2112.
    Discovery.
... behind my beloved waterfall, in the little room that was
Hidden beneath the cave, I found it. I brushed away the
Dust of the years, and picked it up, holding it reverently in
My hands. I had no idea what it might be, but it was
    Beautiful ...
... I learned to lay my fingers across the wires, and to turn
The keys to make them sound differently. as I struck the
Wires with my other hand, I produced my first harmonious
Sounds, and soon my own music! how different it could
Be from the music of the temples! I cant wait to tell the
    Priests about it! ...

What can this strange device be?
When I touch it, it gives forth a sound
Its got wires that vibrate and give music
What can this thing be that I found?

See how it sings like a sad heart
And joyously screams out its pain
Sounds that build high like a mountain
Or notes that fall gently like rain

I cant wait to share this new wonder
The people will all see its light
Let them all make their own music
The priests praise my name on this night

    Cheers!

Doh! Sorry... my sarcasm detector appears to be on the fritz.

'course, you could always run down to Wally-Mart, grab a generic game controller, solder a 1/4" plug onto the end of the wire, jack it in and post a picture...

    2112- - Discovery, some history.

In the year 2062, a galaxy-wide war results in the union of all planets under the rule of the Red Star of the Solar Federation. The world is controlled by the Priests of the Temples of Syrinx, who determine all reading matter, songs, pictures… everything connected with life during the year 2112.

In the midst of this assembly line living, a man discovers what was once known years before as a guitar (“Discovery”). The man begins to pluck the strings and turn the knobs, discovering that he can make his own music. He rushes to tell the priests of his discovery (“Presentation”), but to the man’s dismay, the priests destroy the instrument, saying it doesn’t fit the plan of the Solar Federation.

The man returns to the cave in which he found the guitar and, during a dream, is led by an oracle to a land of incredible beauty and serenity (“Oracle: The Dream”). Upon awakening, he can not believe it was a dream — the beauty was so real.

    He remains in the cave for several days, becoming more and more depressed with each passing hour (“Soliloquy”). The man decides he can not go on as part of the Federation and takes his life to move on to a better one. As he dies, another planetary battle begins (“Grand Finale”) resulting in the ending “Attention all planets of the Solar Federation: We have assumed control." {edited to save TIME}

Its a "faded" flying v. The paint doesnt shine but its really loud compared to a shiny guitar which bleeds over to how it actually sounds through an amp. Its supposed to be to the same specs as a 1967 Gibson but I got it about a year ago. I had the trem(whammy bar) put on after I liked the way it played and bought it. It is extra light on the shoulder which is what attracted me to it most.
