I wanted to share my mods with the community, bike cost me 350 in dmv fees.

Its rough but its slowly coming along. I love the battlax rear tire, ill be getting one for the front when i need to replace it.

I have jetted with mini drill bits with pretty good luck and the intent of buying the real jets, but never really got around to it.

I chopped up my coils and gave it some accel wires i had sitting around from a v8 kit. Soldering spark plug wires is something i didnt think i would ever do in my life. It made a huge difference in smoothness, and i barely have to use the choke. I removed the resistors from the spark plug boot things, and made a piece of metal to fit in and take up the space.

Chopped up the bottom and lid of the airbox, bike came with a K&N so im leaving it in there. I would like to go with pod filters, but i hear tuning them is a nightmare

Few holes in the exhaust for more airflow and noise

    Looking good.
It'll be interesting to see how those mods pan out for longevity and reliability

The higher airflow from the cut out airbox may be problematic. I know some guys have had problems with the stock airbox and a K&N becuase of the increased airflow the filter provides.

    Good luck with it

I have rejetted a few sizes up, everything is good now. Exhaust required some jetting as well.. plugs are nice and light tan after a plug chop at high rpm so im happy!

Ill be installing a new clutch soon since it has been slipping for a while.

I have also learned that new lubed cables feel really nice after old nasty ones!

    Thanks for the input

The holes made a big difference in sound.. i like it.. Between that, and the airbox, it sounds like the world is ending when i get on the gas lol
