Starts fine, idles nice, no smoke, does not miss, revs to 8K fine, but it smells stinks up the garage, my clothes etc
It has new plugs, the old one I replaced was on the black side rather gray.
    New oil and air filter.
Any suggestions what I should do that does not involves lots of money.

My bike does the same this. I'm missing the caps over the mixture screws. I bought a colortune kit. My plugs were all different colors. I think I have it set a little rich. I'm tuning on the bike. I'm gonna do a valve adjustment before a do a colortune again. But it runs great. I still need to resync the carbs.

Plug shop is the key to tunig. Pull your plugs and take a look. Search plug chops for instructions - worth the time.

You need to get the rich condition repaired. Too rich of a mixture will make your pistions and rings wear. The extra gas washes the oil off of the cylinder walls. Do a complete tune up and you will have a much better running bike. Forget the hotter plugs.

Are you able to work on your bike yourself? If you can, there is more than enough information here to get the job done yourself. If you can't do it yourself. You'll need to get bids on getting the work done.

Why not start with the basics.

    1. Are the correct plugs installed and gap set to spec.
    2. Has the air filter been changed lately?
    3. Take some pics of the plugs on a brown paper bag and post it here so we can see.
    4. Is the charging system working correctly. Proper voltage at battery when running. Idle and 2000 RPM's Post results also.
Note: if the charging system is not putting out enough power the ignition won't work properly either.

    I will update,
    1. put in new plugs, I have about 25 miles on the plugs, pulled it out and it is brownish in color, I am guessing not enough miles to make an accurate diagnostic.
    2. New air filter.
    3. Battery is good, the headlights get brighter after 2000 rpm. starts very strong.
I will put more miles once it gets warmer and update this issue.
