VIN just wondering?

    That it's a nice example of a mid-late production Canadian model '82 Maxim 650. HOW "late" would depend on how many more than 2299 they made after yours. Throw us the manufacture date (from the steering neck) and it could be very interesting.

    and the reg number from when it was in USA.....264595E
    can you get me any history or details about the bike as it is now in Ireland and would love to know more about it

    You can find out some stuff about your ride from the VIN.
    If you have the previous registration you can pay money in just about every state to get the info on that owner.
    Look on the net for DMV for the state it was registered in.
