They work but are easy to be removed by someone else when your bike is parked. I did have a set for a short while.

Yeah, that was the first 'accessory" i bought for my bike actually .... they made it about 10 minutes parked at the ice cream place before someone swiped em. Did look cool though while spinning, and I can only imagine they helped me be seen a bit.

Make sure they are legal in your state. I don't know why they are illegal because I think it makes you more easily seen.

I think technically they're illegal in indiana. I don't know about elsewhere, but cops here tend to leave bikers alone. You've really got to be doing something bad to get them to care.

Most states red and blue would be illegal because emergency vehicles are supposed to be the only vehicles with those colors. Thats how I understand it to be in MI anyway.

I was informed by one of Nebraska's finest that it is a federal issue. No forward facing red, blue or green lights. I didn't question the man for two reasons. 1. He is the state patrol. He probably knows a bit more than I do. 2. He had me pulled over. I didn't want to anger him in the slightest.

    Just my experience.

I called our local police department and the Deprtment of Motor Vehicles and they both said that they are legal in Vermont so long as they are not red or blue.

I may pick up a pair and see how long they last. I've seen some that have a small allen nut that fastens it to the stem. Don't know how effective it would be.
