    Well, aftr giving up hope on my bike, My bike was brought up in a conversation around soem of my dads friends, and one of the guys was like , oh sh*t, i got one of those, it runs, jsut needs some carb work and painting wouldnt hurt. I asked how much, he said 300, whoop tee doo! The bike's tranny is fine he says, fires right up, 16k on the odometer. i'm happier than, well, a really happy guy. only problem, is it may be a drive to get it, he livs in the southish part of michigan, he was up for the weekend because his aunt died. i may pay one of my friends 100 bucks to get it, whoo hoo!
    i can probably part the thing out and get 300 or more out of it, cuz god knows the engine isnt worth squat on ebay. gosh
    oh ya, he says the back brake is locked open, whatever that means, but the pictures he had on his phone looks like the exhaust is solid, the bike looks really nice, whoop.

    actually i mapquest it, and big fitz, it loks like its about 40 miles away from you... im gonna try and get him to meet me in sterling eights, or somewhere on m53, becasue thatsa straight shot down

    it probably will, ill be switching and swapping parts to make an uber bike, i just hope taking out the rear wheel wont be hard....

    heres the picture, it doesnt look half bad, its the one on the left:

    he says it needs paint, but it doesnt look bad at all, anyways the carbs are in pieces cuz he was going to try and clean them... idk. but i think ill slap al lthe junk on my bike, and try to sell it for 400, and make 100 bucks.., but i'd let it go for 200 or so, maybe

    Keep both at least until you have a fully operational 100% solid bike. Then part out the rest.

    If you're going to be looking for somewhere to get rid of some excess parts, I'm in Ann Arbor :)

    Also, if I could trade you some help for some of the harder to find pieces, I do have a pickup truck.

    Aaaand, you ought to come down for the next SE michigan work day. A few more people will need to do their carbs soon--caniculaveritas, I think does.
