brake fluid on my spray can tank! am i permanently screwed?

    i would hate to have to replace the tank now

    You must have caught it quick. Brake fluid normally washes rattle can paint right off.

    If it's just discolored you might try some rubbing compound.

    it had some chemical resistant clear coat
    the paint is toast though
    will have to sand it and repaint

    Brake fluid is one of the worst chemicals to get on your paint. Especially a rattle can job. Remember even if it says 'chemical resistant', if its a rattle can it is not!
