Rubber blocks in the fins ?

    just noticed this yesterday. there are a bunch of small rubber blocks in between the fins of the engine block. What gives ?

    They are 'vibration dampers'. They supposedly stop the sympathetic vibration of the motor when it reaches a certain rmp range. Some people say they work wonders, others seem to think the difference when removed is negligible.
