Have you followed the drip to see if it's really in the seam or coming from the petcock or fuel sensor areas? I had a fuel seepage problem too and traced it to the fuel sender but the drip was happening down from there as it was travelling on the sensor wire harness down to the end of the tank. It would be an easier fix than if it were on the seam. If it is on the seam, it could be a big issue...but I'm sure there are others here that will have experience with it. Good luck though, hopefully it will be a simple fix.

unfortunately it is at the seem and it looks pretty rusted there , i realy need a new tank just cant afford one mine has some big dents in it, looks like its been patched before with what looks like some kind of fiberglass glue and mesh.

Hmmm, doesn't sound very promising. If there is a lot of rust, the tank may be too corroded to spend much time on it. Your comments on the fiberglass and dents kind of puts the final nails in that coffin. May be time to search for another tank as I don't think yours sounds too healthy. Ask Chacal if he has anything that could fit your bike or let you know what other model has a tank that would fit. Don't know what else to tell ya.

Well for 10 years I had a pin hole from rust. I took some JB weld and it held for 10 years until another hole formed. Well the tank is off to PA getting over hauled now 350 bucks and it will be ready for paint with no rust or JB weld any longer.

I've used a fuel tank repair (which is two part epoxy) and it did the trick on an old car. Or just use JB Weld, that'll stop the leak for sure. If it holds a clutch lever together, it'll patch a hole in a gas tank.

JB Weld and/or Water Weld. I used a combo of both to stick my Petcock Nipple back into my petcock. Works great. Holds great. Need to sand Water weld afterward to get a smooth finish. Looks ok. I'd recommend it

+1 on the JB or Water Weld, but definitely keep a watch on eBay for a replacement tank.
