OK, I pulled the forks last night from the Seca 750 and started the teardown of one of them. Managed to get the spring clip from hell out of the top, pulled the spring, and dumped 10-11 ounces of seriously nasty, thick, black oil out of the unit. Now I am struggling with prying the dust seal out of the fork to get to the seal, but it is not moving. I've ordered two more from Chacal because I am convinced I will have to destroy them to get them out. So, question 1 is - how do you pry out that dust seal? Question 2 is - what can be used to flush out the fork to get all of the nasty out before refilling? Remember, this bike has the anti-dive unit attached and I am not going to remove it. What ever I flush with can not have any bad effects on that unit. Thanks for the help, as always.

Why dont you want to take off the anti-dive? It's just 2 bolts and you don't have to re-bleed the brakes or anything.

You will never get all the "crap" out of the forks unless you dismantle the forks - and whatever cleaner / solvent you use, you will never get it all out unless you dismantle.

And it is a tough job trying to get the fork seals off when the forks are together.

not meaning to highjack your thread, but since its about forks, can i use compressed air in my front forks or does it have to be nitrogen. and what should the psi be.

Air is fine. From memory, I think it is about 5-7 PSI. Maybe someone else can confirm this (??)
