    Hi,

Later this year I will be in the Houston, Texas area. I have rented a 2009 Harley Ultraglide, going riding with my brothers on thier beemers.

Can anybody recommend a nice road circuit, or a grill to check out, or a music place.

We are heading from Houston to San Antonio, Austin, over towards Nacogdoches and back to Houston.

    Any suggestions would be appreciated.

    Ken

FM 2222 north of Austin. It's my favorite TX road.

Fm 2222 that heads out towards lake travis does'nt it. if its the one i'm thinking, it is a nice ride, 195 going north of austin is one i travel alot, its decent, i've heard that the 71 through bastrop and la grange east of austins a good road to travel and it'll take you from austin to near houston.

    jmelton, yep, that's the one.

Someone else was telling me that Hwy 80 between San Marcos and Gruene is a great ride too. They mentioned some place to eat in Gruene, but I don't remember the name.

Ah, if you get out by NW San Antonio, make sure to stop at the original Rudy's off of I10 for some great BBQ.

And, if you do the 2222 ride, there is a County Line BBQ off of there that is great too. Yep, I'm a BBQ kinda guy.

Once you leave Austin headed west there's alot out country to ride thru. If you take 2222 to 620 head west across the mansfield dam then to 71 thats GODS country.

    Hey,

Thanks for the tips, exactly what I am looking for. Local input on all the good stuff. We are heading out for a 5 day run. Not an Ironbutt run, but a decent days riding, looking for accommadations at the end of the day, maybe some music at night. We don't want to blast through the country, we want to enjoy it.

Thanks again and keep it coming.
