I should note that this is the XS-V1, a Yamaha prototype. I hope they consider putting into production, what a great looking set of wheels.

It does have a certain appeal to it. Kinda old school+kinda new school.

no way is it ugly! I love that xs v1. Damn nice old school styling. As for that mt01, well thats an aquired taste, you should check the top view of the bike, its very cheeky, you'd laugh...

Looks like just another 70s style bike to me. Nothing special about it I guess. Old school for sure.

I like it, but it looks "pieced together" rather than like everything belongs.

I'd lose the engine-case styled sidecovers in favor of more traditional "body color" tins, shorten the seat, straighten the grab rail; and GET RID of that giant a** muffler. I'll bet it's so huge because it's a 2-1, the bike would look better with shorter dual mufflers, IMHO. Really neat though, more 60s than 70s even.

That other thing though...what's MT stand for, "Motorcyle--Transformer?" It looks like a GoBot.

I hope it stands for "Massive-Twin", I think it has the Stratoliner motor in it.

It's a nice looking bike alright, but does Yamaha really need another V-twin? Maybe it's just me, but it seems that the market is already flooded with V-twins on sterroids, and I don't see a particular advantage from a performance standpoint. Now if that bike had a nice mid-sized V-4, I'd give it a good look.

Looks like a Star Wars Harley Wannabe. Of course my personal tastes lean more toward the old Japanese parallel twins so I'm not likely to go for this one.

Eh.. Kinda looks like it just wants to be toooo futuristic to me. Little to hard on the push to be old/newschool modern
