If i turn the key the neutral light wont always come on. If i bump they key around a little bit within the on position i can make it come on easily. Sometimes it will turn off while cranking and stop the crank. My running light will work, but the brake light will not while the neutral light refuses to come on.

Im guessing its ignition switch considering i can move the key around and not actually change the position the key is in, but make a difference to whats switched.

While the bike is running it acts normally.

I would pull the switch and take it apart and clean and lube the contacts. Its not a bad job to do.

Thanks for the suggestion! I took it apart, polished up the contacts with some fine sandpaper.. a little cleaning and re greasing and it works so much better.. it didnt even look that bad, i saw a few tiny scuff marks on the contacts, i guess that was causing the problem!

Thanks a lot for the help!

I saw you have a 72 nova :D i love those things! I want a 68.. 454 twin turbo :D Just have to come up with some cash for the 4 valve heads to make it more fun! maybe one day
