    Hi,

I heard a squeak yesterday while riding and I've tracked it down to my front wheel. I've put it on the centerstand and lifted the front wheel up and now when I spin the front wheel it squeaks and is stiff (/looses some momentum) at a certain point. I also hear some sort of soft rubbing sound coming from the spedometer while I turn the wheel (not sure if it's related).

    Please help! =)

Speedometer cable may make some noise as can the break. Remove the break pads and try the spin test. If you still have squeaks and slow downs it could be your wheel bearings.

It's the right front break that's causing the slowdown/squeak. So... um.. what do I do?

Sounds like the same thing that happened to me. Pull the caliper piston out and clean it up. From what I've read only use DOT3 brake fluid when cleaning,

There you go - check your calipers and also check you master cylinder. There is a tiny return port that clogs. If it is partially clogged it may be holding the caliper pistons out slightly.

You can search for the master cylinder details and how to test/fix.

Word of caution brake fluid eats paint! be very careful with it.
