Tried to get Seca 750 out for the first ride the other day. Newly charged battery. Been siting all winter. Cranked over very well and could smell the fumes of gas. However, would not fire. What should I do. Continued to turn it over until the battery started to drain. Any suggestions. I'm hurting by not riding. I put seaform and filled with gas in the fall. She was running well when I put her away, though does need carbs to be sync'd.

It's gonna sound silly, but you might want to try just changing out the spark plugs with fresh ones. I had the same problem a couple years back and that fixed it. Now at the beginning of every riding season I put fresh ones in just for good measure.

I had a similar issue but I was running her once every couple of weeks and I think that screwed up the plugs. New plugs and she fired right up. For fun I put the old plugs back and nothing. New plugs first press of the starter and off she went.

If not - does it POP at all when you let go off the starter? Right at then end?

If so - weak point in the ignition system (and now your battery!)

Maybe try torching the business end of the plugs with a propane torch until they are glowing red first.

I had the same problem last year; and it fixed it right up. Still have those plugs in without issues. Starts first time; every time.

Must have cleared the fouling by heating. At <$10 for a set it's easier to get new ones but that is a neat trick
