I would like to have my tank painted and would like to have the original paint. Do they still sell it? Who should I have paint it? Dealer or a private body shop. Bike shop?

    Thanks

I just got my 85 parts back, tank, fenders, side covers.
Believe it or not the guy down at Maaco did it for me, pulled a major dent out of the gas tank, and paint matched it pretty darn close.I would post a picture if i could figure out how to get it on this forum.
These collision shops can match em up pretty good these days.

Jamings, we carry all of the factory OEM colors in either spray cans or pints, in a urethane based paint formula............drop me a PM and tell me whether your bike is the 6G New Yamaha Black or the 7J New Ruby Red color......

Rumor has it that some very early models were painted in one of the factory silver metallic colors, but we have never seen one nor verified that.
