I'm looking for some wind protection for my 1982 Seca 650. I would really like a fairing but I have yet to find one that will fit over the 8 inch stock headlight. If I can't find a fairing I will probably just go with a universal windshield.

Does anyone have a fairing for sale or have suggestions on where to find a fairing or good windshield?

The 650 did not come with a fairing.
Your best bet is to look for a universal one that has different baffles for different size head lights and modify it.
    Hell, just get the windshield.

    See this thread: http://www.xjbikes.com/Forums/viewtopic ... wners.html

Although the fairing discussed is for a 750 with a square headlight, Maier Inc, has one with a round hole that should fit your headlight. I've seen pics of them on the 650's.

I definitely intend to buy the square one for my 750.

I've got a 550 Seca fairing that looks similar to the 650. I just don't know what size the headlight is (I think it is 7"). I'll get back to you shortly...

Thanks for the heads up guys.

Sushi: I actually check Maier because I ran across your thread earlier and they are all for 7" headlights.

Robert: I'm nearly positive the 550 was a 7 inch light but let me know and thanks for checking.

I actually found a place out of Australia that will ship one I like but it is $250 not painted and not windscreen. I'll probably just end up with and windshield. It is really just for cold weather riding. I prefer to have it off.

    Hi,

I have a 82 XJ650RJC that has a Shoei fairing that I bought off Ebay for 40.00 Cdn. It comes with an insert that fits the stock headlight . It is not for sale, but they do exist.

It is a Shoei FM-5, I bought a replacement screen from Gustaffson in Florida. It matched right up.

Not sure how I missed Rifle. I was never able to find 8 inch inserts before but it is plain as day when I take a look now. Must have been blind last time I looked. Thanks Hound
